Houston Snowfall!

We hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful snow and the extra time spent with family and friends over the past two days. It was a unique opportunity to create memories and enjoy the winter wonderland.

We were excited to welcome our students back to school today! We missed the energy and enthusiasm that our students bring to the hallways and classrooms. As we return to our regular schedule, we look forward to continuing our journey of learning and growth together.

My snowman wasn't very big but it sure was fun making him and playing out in the snow with my kids!

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility during the snow days. Let's make the rest of the week fantastic!

100 Days of School

Dear Parents,

We are excited to announce that our school will be celebrating the 100th day of school on January 28th.  To make this day extra special, we are inviting all students to dress up as if they were 100 years old.

Event Details:

  • Date: January 28th
  • Theme: Dress like a 100-year-old

Costume Ideas:

To help your child get into the spirit of the day, here are some costume suggestions:

  • For Girls: Sweaters, shawls, long skirts, glasses, and costume jewelry.
  • For Boys: Sweater vests, blazers, suspenders, bow ties, and hats.

Feel free to get creative with your child's outfit! We encourage you to use items you already have at home.

We look forward to celebrating this special day with our students and making it a memorable experience for everyone!

Thank you for your support.

Thank you Ms. Flores!

A special message for Ms. Flores whose last day at Bush will be tomorrow January 24th. As you embark on a new chapter in your journey, we wanted to pause to reflect on the impact you’ve had on Bush Elementary during your seven years of service at our beloved school. Your unwavering dedication, tireless efforts, and genuine care have left a mark on our hearts and our community.

  1. Commitment and Service: Your commitment to our students, staff, and community has been nothing short of extraordinary. You’ve been the silent force behind our daily operations, ensuring that everything runs seamlessly.
  2. Efficiency and Grace: Managing the office with poise is an art, and you’ve mastered it. Your attention to detail and ability to handle whatever is thrown your way has kept our ship steady.
  3. Problem-Solving Wizardry: Whenever unexpected challenges arose, you were there—finding creative solutions, calming storms, and making the impossible possible.
  4. Behind-the-Scenes Hero: Much of what you do happens behind closed doors—the paperwork, the coordination, the countless small tasks that keep our school thriving. You’ve been our unsung hero, and we’re grateful.
  5. Heartfelt Support: Your willingness to help out, no matter the task, has made a significant difference. Whether it’s assisting a teacher, soothing a worried parent, or organizing events, you’ve been a great rock.
  6. Legacy of Excellence: Your legacy extends beyond the files and folders. It’s in the smiles you’ve shared, and the encouragement you’ve given.

As you step into your new role, may your path be filled with joy, fulfillment, and continued success. Thank you, Ms. Flores for being an integral part of our school family.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Bush Elementary
