Go Texan Day

Go Texan Day was a tremendous success! 🌟 A heartfelt thank you to all our students for their performances. Our enrichment team did a fantastic job preparing and running the event. We also want to extend our gratitude to all the parents who came out to support us. We're already looking forward to Go Texan Day next year!

Astronaut Visit!

We had an amazing visit with astronaut Anna Menon! 🚀 She spoke to our students for 45 minutes, visited classrooms, and caught up with her old teachers and administration. It was inspiring and truly special to hear her story about the impact Bush Elementary has had on her life and her experiences in space. Anna also shared pictures and videos, answered student questions, and read her children's book that she wrote for her own kids and read to them while she was in space.

Safety Reminders

Safety Week is off and running! 🚸 Please be mindful of jaywalking as we will continue to have a police presence throughout the week to enforce safety. Thank you to all our volunteers and to the parents who are respecting the rules and keeping safety in mind, especially during dismissal and arrival times. It takes all of us to ensure the safety of all!

If you are passionate about keeping our sidewalks, streets, and parking lots safe, we invite you to sign up for a 45-minute volunteer shift. Please volunteer using this link: Volunteer for Safety Week Link

VIPS Certified

Please remember to ensure that your VIPS (Volunteers in Public Schools) approval is up to date for field trips, volunteering, and other activities. VIPS approval expires each summer, so it's important to renew it annually.

Thank you for your cooperation!

Arrival & Dismissal Reminders

Attention PreK, SPED, and Safety Patrol Parents:

When dropping off in the bus lane in the morning, please make sure your tag is clearly visible so Ms. Calix can open the gate for you. We appreciate your cooperation and support!
