CHARACTER COUNTS! Week highlights the value of good character and its important role in building strong communities that value positive, healthy relationships and respectful behavior.

 

Monday 10/21- “Rally for Respect”- Wear Yellow (RESPECT)

 

Respect is the foundation of strong relationships and communities. It means treating others with kindness, valuing their opinions, and appreciating differences. On Monday, wear yellow to celebrate respect.

 

Tuesday 10/22-“What You Say Must be True, October 22nd Wear Blue” -Wear Blue (TRUSTWORTHINESS)

 

Trust is earned through honesty, integrity, and keeping your word. Be someone others can rely on, and always strive to do what’s right, even when no one is watching. On Tuesday, wear blue to celebrate trustworthiness. 

 

Wednesday 10/23-“Be Responsible, Be Green, Responsibility is a Necessity”-Wear Green (RESPONSIBILITY)

 

Being responsible means owning your actions and following through on commitments. It’s about making thoughtful choices and understanding the impact you have on the world around you. On Wednesday, wear green to celebrate responsibility.

 

Thursday 10/24- “Treat Others Fair to Show You Care”- Wear Orange (FAIRNESS)

 

Fairness is treating others as you want to be treated, playing by the rules, and giving everyone a fair chance. It’s about listening, sharing, and practicing equality in all we do. On Thursday, wear orange to celebrate fairness. 

 

Friday 10/25-“An Open Heart is an Open Mind, the Better the Citizenship, the Better the World”- Wear Red and/or Purple (CARE AND CITIZENSHIP)

 

Caring and citizenship go hand-in-hand. Show compassion by helping those around you, and take pride in your community by contributing to its well-being. On Friday, wear red and/or purple to celebrate care and citizenship.
