*Enrichment Teachers - End of the year Gift

The end of the year is fast approaching, and if you are looking for a way to honor our enrichment teachers there is an option for you.

By popular demand starting until 5/31 you can contribute to the group collection under Enrichment Teachers Gift Donation.  The gifts will be distributed among all six Enrichment teachers.  If you choose to participate, your family’s name will be included on a card.

Bush Book Bracket

In honor of Barbara Bush, let's determine our school's favorite book!  

Starting the week of April 21, students will participate in the Bush Book Bracket during Technology class. Families may also participate at home and get in on the excitement.

We will start with 32 popular books.  Each week students and families will choose their favorite books in each Book Battle. Half of the books will be eliminated each round, until only two remain!  The winning book will be announced at our Big Birthday Bash on May 29!

Voting for Round 1 will begin April 21.  Families who wish to participate from home will find the link each week on this page.  During Round 1, you will also be able to pick the book you think will be the ultimate winner!  Everyone who chooses correctly will be entered into a drawing to win a prize on May 29!

Barbara's Birthday Bash

Barbara Bush's 100th Birthday Bash!

April 1 - May 29

The Barbara Bush Elementary staff and PTO, in conjunction with the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation, will be hosting a celebration for Barbara Bush’s 100th birthday. Former First Lady, Mrs. Bush would have turned 100 on June 8, 2025.

We will be having several events beginning April 1 and the students will have a Big Birthday Bash on May 29!

Beginning April 1, we will be sharing facts about Barbara Bush on morning announcements and on our social media.  The choir will also be singing patriotic songs on the announcements.  We will have decor around the school including a replica of Barbara Bush's dress that was worn at her husband, George Bush's, Presidential Inauguration.
