π Color Fun Run - Wrap Up
10/3/2026 1:44 pm
Thank you for participating!

π Fundraising is open through the end of month at myfunrun.com/bbe, but any fundraising after the morning of the run does not count toward the student prizes. Family and friends anywhere in the country can support our students, and all proceeds stay right here at Barbara Bush Elementary.
π With special laundering instructions, the colored powder can be "set," leaving your student with a one-of-a-kind souvenir that's also dress-code approved for future use! Only these official shirts are dress-code approved (see image below).

π Prizes will be awarded to top individual earners in each classroom, the top 3 school-wide fundraisers, and every classroom that reaches 100% participation. Prize details are on the fundraising site Prize Page. Prizes are NOT tied to number of laps students complete or how fast they go. It's a fun run, not a competitive race. Prize winners will be announced the week of October 26th.
Post-Event FAQ's
How does fundraising work?
- Go to myfunrun.com/bbe to register and set up your student's personal page, then share the link by text, email, or social media. Our goal is to raise $25,000!
- All proceeds from donations stay at Barbara Bush Elementary.
- Tips are completely optional and would go to the fundraising platform, MyFunRun, to enhance and sustain their free services. The site defaults to a 15% tip. To opt out or change the tip, click the slider button and type in your preferred tip (it can be $0).
- Fundraising is open through the end of October. Friends and family can continue to contribute after the race.
Is the colored powder safe?
Yes. The powder is non-toxic and cornstarch-based. It brushes off skin and washes out of hair. Additional information about the colored powder can be found on the manufacturer's site: HERE.
What can students win?
Prizes go to top earners in each classroom, the top 3 school-wide donors, and every classroom that hits 100% participation. Check out the full prize list on the funraising site: Prize Page
How do I set the color on the shirt?
If you want to preserve the color, don't shake off the excess. Color can be made permanent by laying the item flat, thoroughly spraying it with white vinegar and allowing it to air dry. Then iron on the highest heat the fabric allows, and tumble dry for 10 minutes.

I took some great pictures. Do you want them?
Yes! Please submit your pictures for possible use in the yearbook! It's super easy to upload your photos with our Google form: Submit Photos HERE.
Are shirts, tickets, and entry wristbands refundable if something comes up?
No, these items are not refundable.
